To learn from the perspective of a person with autism/Autistic person, you will choose a book written by either a person with ASD or a family member of an Autistic person to read across the quarter (I chose the book as attached. You will participate in a series of discussions during class with others who are reading the same book, and complete an analysis of the book that you chose.
In your analysis of the book, please include:
The book title and and author’s name
1. A brief summary of the book and the author (e.g., who they are, perspectives/assumptions they might hold, etc.)
2. An explanation of services and/or models of intervention described in the book and the author’s perception of these services
3. A reflection on what you learned from reading the book and how it has influenced your future practice as a Behavior Analyst engaging with people with ASD/Autistic people and their families. You may consider what you agree/disagree with, what questions you have, etc.
4. Whether you would recommend this book to others (e.g., behavior analysts, educators, students/clients, or families)
Place an order in 3 easy steps. Takes less than 5 mins.
