Choose a case study and talk about briefly. Who is the patient and what disorder she/he has. How do you plan to discuss it and how to treat it. For this paper you are required to do a case study on an individual with either an anxiety or a mood disorder, or both (They can be dually diagnosed). Ideally you will discuss a real individual; we will discuss in class whether you may use a fictitious one. If you use a real patient (current or former) or a family member, all identifying information must be disguised. This means that the only information that is required is a pseudonym (use one that is obviously fictitious like Fred Flintstone) as well as their age and gender. All other demographic information needs to be disguised or omitted. The case study will be your opportunity to put what is learned in class into practice and to critically analyze an individual with an anxiety and/or a mood disorder.
