This assignment serves as an initial draft of Part I of your Signature Assignment in this course. Your instructor will provide you with feedback and you will address the feedback and incorporate revisions and improvements as needed for future assignments, including the submission of your Signature Assignment in Week 8. This assignment requires you to complete the initial steps of proposing a new degree program at a higher education institution. You must choose a specific institution and name it. Then, you must specifically identify the type of degree program and the name of the program you plan to propose. This cannot be a program that is already being offered at this institution and should not be a relatively common degree offered at many institutions (e.g., a BA in English or a BS in biology, or a BFA in theater at a liberal arts college). Consult the readings and resources for this week to conduct research and carefully consider what type of new degree program you can justify is needed at this institution. You will use the template located in this week’s resources to complete this assignment.
