There are three categories of Human Factors that pilots are trained to identify. 1. Logistics Factors: these involved poor design on aircraft of specific parts that have failed unexpectedly. 2. Operations Factors: these are factors that involve aircrew and their supervision. 3. Maintenance Factors: these factors don’t focus particularly on an individual, but on the work that has been done to an aircraft. Was the proper procedure followed or not? Why was the procedure not followed? We keep asking why until we find the root cause of a mishap. For this discussion, identify two Maintenance Human Factors, and explain why they are factors.
