“An area/issue in the church/parachurch that I am passionately concerned about and why.” Discuss how you would go about researching this perceived need (draw upon and cite your reading). Why it is important for the larger church/parachurch community that this topic should be addressed? Cover steps #1-#4 from pg. 11 of this syllabus.
The cover steps are 1.Background to the study. why the study? why now? why are you doing your dissertation on this. 2. Statement of the problem/focus.
-Sate the problem you intend to solve, the thesis you want to propose, or the focus you will give attention to. 3. purpose of Study. In a clear statement , note the aim of your dissertation. 4. Research questions that will guide the research. Be systematic and sequential.
My dissertation topic is Health and wholeness: A holistic fitness ministry model for The Real Church of Albany, GA that fosters healthy relationships with God.
My thought process is to deal with how many Christians are physically unhealthy and how to balance that with their spirituality.
